Providing free classes in both English & Spanish to support our neighbors’ path to citizenship.

CalFresh/SNAP Signups

Assisting with signups for monthly government food benefits for eligible low-income individuals and families.

Certified Tax Preparation

Partner with the IRS and United Way of the Bay Area to offer VITA-certified tax consultation.

Adopt-a-Family Program

Providing gifts of new clothes and toys via neighbors “adopting” low-income families and seniors.

Job & Vocational Support

Partnering with Jobtrain and Renaissance to provide resources to support job training & placement.

Domestic Violence Support

Partnering with CORA to help with crisis intervention, housing, mental health, legal services and more.

Digital Navigation Training

Providing assistance & devices to create equitable access for neighbors to online resources.

Back-to-School Backpacks

Partnering with Holy Family Church and other faith groups to gift backpacks & supplies to local students.

Farmworkers Convention

Partnering with Puente to host event with resources, workshops and panels put on by farmworkers for farmworkers.

Mobile Showers & Laundry

Providing space for Dignity on Wheels to bring free mobile showers and laundry service to the Coastside.

Hygiene Supplies

Providing free toiletries, diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene, laundry detergent, dish soap and more.

Thanksgiving Turkeys

Distributing turkeys & hams to low-income families and seniors prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Winter Coat Drive

Collecting and distributing warm winter coats to neighbors in need.

Financial Literacy Classes

Partnering with Peninsula Family Services to teach basic financial literacy to Coastside students.

Form Completion/Translation

Helping neighbors complete forms and applications, including translation services when needed.

Transportation Assistance

Helping neighbors enroll in the county Go Card program to cover public transportation and toll costs.

High School Scholarships

Providing scholarships for eligible seniors from Half Moon Bay High School or Pilarcitos High School.

Emergency Disaster Response

Serving as a second responder to our community for disasters and emergencies.

A Beacon of Hope

Building A Trusted Community Hub

Coastside Hope recently moved to a larger building, centrally located at 248 Main Street in the heart of Half Moon Bay. This move was driven by a clear vision: to build a trusted community hub where neighbors can access critical services in one welcoming place. This vision is becoming a reality. Coastside Hope now partners with more than two dozen organizations, many of which can serve our community only because this hub exists, to deliver expanded services to help our community thrive.

While most of our fundraising efforts are rightly focused on directly addressing community needs, we are also asking for help to fund the hub. Please give today if you can.
