Coastside Hope Welcomes You!
For over 30 years Coastside Hope has been the primary provider of safety net services for the coastside community. We were formerly known as the Coastside Opportunity Center but we recently changed our name to Coastside Hope to better reflect what we bring to our clients and our community….hope for a better and more secure future.
Be it through our monthly food harvest, emergency shelter and rental assistance services, crisis intervention and referral services, clothing vouchers, Christmas Adopt- a-Family program, or our citizenship services, Coastside Hope brings hope to the working poor, the needy, and to low income families and seniors. In so doing we touch the lives of well over 3,000 men, women and children every year. Click here to see a detailed breakdown of our services provided. Click here to download our brochure.
Our Community Comes Together - Giving Hope with Food, Financial Support, and Time
Coastside Hope is fortunate to have the generous support of our community. Throughout the year, businesses, organizations, church and school groups, families and individuals give hope through their donations. Without their support, we cannot serve the vast needs of our Coastsiders.
We are pleased to announce that online giving is now availabe. Just click
the
Support Coastside Hope link located at the top of the page and learn more about the The Lighthouse Circle monthly giving program.
Many, many thanks go to Sarah Griego who donated her time and effort to make this possible.
Volunteers are at the heart of Coastside Hope. It is their spirit, time and effort that help us deliver programs and services to our community.
Our volunteers make it possible to sort, organize and deliver over 4.9 tons of food and staples each month through our Family Harvest and Special Delivery programs. Each holiday season, hundreds of volunteers support our Adopt-a-Family program, making it possible for 400 families and seniors to share in the joy of the season.
Many of our volunteers tell us that giving back to their community is very important to them. They can see how their work makes a difference in a fellow Coastsider's life and the smile it brings to their face. But what stands out for many is the opportunity to make new friends in their community, to come back each month or holiday season and work alongside someone else who cares about making our Coastside a better place to live.
