"I'm originally from
Huntsville, Alabama. I worked in the service/retail sector most of my life,
starting with my worst job, working for my mother at her full service gas
I worked my way up the corporate ladder at Little Caesars Pizza. Working as the
Area Coordinator, I was responsible for the daily operations, marketing,
training programs, quality assurance, benefits as well as OSHA/ADA/EOE
I have one daughter, Stephanie, and one step-daughter, Kayla.
I love living in NorCal, the people are great, the scenery is amazing and the
climate is wonderful.
Working at Coastside Hope is my reward to myself. It is great to be able to give
something back to my community. There is nothing that makes me feel better than
seeing the smile on one of our clients faces when they are surprised by the
generosity of the Coastside community.
For fun I love to travel, (even though I do hate airports in general), I paint
and on occasion I write for fun & profit. " - Debra Hall
Executive Director Fatima Soares' lifetime service to community recognized
by induction to Women's Hall of Fame.
Coastside Hope is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency food, clothing, shelter, and other safety net services since 1976. Demand for our services has grown significantly as a result of the recession of 2008-2009 and the ongoing fallout of the recession.
For example, in Fiscal Year 2013, Coastside Hope distributed 383,000 pounds of food, vs. 156,000 pounds in FY 2008 – an increase of over 145%.
Our mission is to help our neighbors meet their most basic needs while helping every one of us reach our full potential. The key to our success is the generous support of our community and the ever-expanding network of neighbors and community partners who share our vision and commitment to making the difference. Won't you join us in giving hope?
