Coastside Hope is a community-based non-profit organization dedicated to providing emergency food, clothing, shelter, and other safety net services since 1976. Demand for our services has grown significantly as a result of the recession of 2008-2009 and the ongoing fallout of the recession.
For example, in Fiscal Year 2012, Coastside Hope distributed 329,000 pounds of food, vs. 147,000 pounds in FY 2007 – an increase of over 120%.
Our mission is to help our neighbors meet their most basic needs while helping every one of us reach our full potential. The key to our success is the generous support of our community and the ever-expanding network of neighbors and community partners who share our vision and commitment to making the difference. Ways you can help:
- Support - provide monthly financial support or give a one-time donation.
- Volunteer - we have an abundance of volunteer opportunities
- Sponsor -Adopt-A-Family for Christmas, or provide a family with supplemental household items such as soap, laundry detergent, etc. on a monthly basis
